Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-10-05

Who we are

welp! is a macOS app made by Ziya Efe Karakanlı (“we”). These terms cover the welp! app, welp! pro licenses and this website.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

The app

welp! is open core. Its core, which protects WhatsApp, is open-source software under the MIT License: you may use, build and modify it under that license.

welp! pro (Slack, and further apps as they are added) is under the Welp Commercial License. Its source code is public so anyone can read and audit it, but using it requires a welp! pro license.

welp! pro license

A welp! pro license is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It is for you personally, on all of your Macs. Please don't share or resell your key.

The license covers the current major version of welp! and its updates. If a future major version is ever sold separately, your key keeps working with the versions it was bought for.

No warranty

welp! helps you avoid sending messages to the wrong chat, but it can't catch every case: for example, it depends on what WhatsApp and Slack show on screen, which can change without notice. welp! is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, as described in the MIT License. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for messages sent, delayed or not sent while using welp!.
